Vita
Philipp Haueis is an assistant professor at the department of philosophy of Bielefeld University. For the academic year 2024/2025, he is an interim professor at the Institute of Philosophy at Leibniz University Hannover. His main research areas are the development, structure and evaluation of scientific concepts, exploratory experimentation, multiscale modeling and the relations between science and society, particularly in neuroscience and climate research.
Contribution to SOCRATES
During his fellowship, Philipp will work on a book project on the norms of conceptual development. In particular, he will look at the discursive impace of word choice, by analysing cases of strategic ambiguity and ontic risk at the science-policy interface.
