Dr Joe Roussos

Joe Roussos is a researcher at the Institute for Futures Studies, Stockholm, where he leads the project Expertise in crises. He also heads the Mimir Center for Long Term Futures Research, within the IFFS. Joe’s work draws on decision theory, social epistemology, and philosophy of science.

Joe Roussos’ research at SOCRATES will focus on the role that experts play as policy advisors, and various philosophical issues that arise from this role. These include: how to handle expert disagreement, the importance of epistemic humility for experts, and how non-experts can react appropriately to instances of expert failure.
