Katherine Furman works at the intersection of Philosophy and Health Policy. She researches the ways scientific information travels through various intermediaries to the public, and the public response to health interventions. She is especially concerned with resistance to health interventions.

Contribution to SOCRATES

While at the centre, Katherine will be working on a monograph titled "Going it Alone: A Philosophical Study of Medical Resistance". She will also be putting together materials for a workshop for medical doctors on distrust and health interventions, titled "Distrust in the Clinic".
