Vita
Viktoria Cologna is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of the History of Science at Harvard University, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. She is an environmental social scientist interested in the determinants of individual and collective action on climate change, public perceptions of science, the science-policy interface, and the role of science in society and policymaking. Viktoria is currently leading the TISP Many Labs study, a global study with 238 collaborators that investigates the prevalence and correlates of trust in science in 67 countries.
Contribution to SOCRATES
At SOCRATES, Viktoria Cologna aims to expand on her work on the role of science in policymaking, and more specifically, the science-policy interface in the context of climate change. Her work will focus on the role of non-epistemic values in scientific research related to climate change, and how they affect mitigation strategies and public trust in science.
