Alex Broadbent is Professor of Philosophy of Science at Durham University and Visiting Professor at the University of Johannesburg. He is Co-Director of the Durham-Johannesburg Centre for Philosophy of Epidemiology, Medicine, and Public Health. He has published three books and numerous academic articles in philosophy, epidemiology, and legal theory, as well as opinion pieces on a range of topics concerning the role of science in society. He is founding Editor in Chief of the journal Philosophy of Medicine, and an Associate Editor of Global Epidemiology.
Contribution to SOCRATES
During his time at SOCRATES Alex will be completing a book manuscript on the role of science during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Dialogue with other researchers at SOCRATES during this process will be mutually enriching.
